I can highlight such criteria for a successful e-commerce site: 1) Stability. High web traffic can cause downtime that leads to material losses. For example, it can happen during holiday sales. 2) Security. When you buy online you input private and sensitive data as number phone, address, credit card information. These data can be in the spot for scammers. Moreover, scammers can cause a data breach, crushing site, or delete all internal documentation. 3) Functionality. When customers are using a site they're expecting that all parts of sites working correctly. Without proper testing, functionality can go wrong, after code changes or adding new features some part of the site can undergo bugs.
