I will make it simple: Google Ad-words acts as a medium for advertisers to promote their product or ad. Whereas Google Adsense is a medium for blogger or youtubers to promote the ads of other advertisers on their channel. Hope it helps you.

hi... the main difference between Google Adsense and AdWords is..... Google AdWords is a paid option like user supposed to pay some amount to Google for showing their ads on Google sites whereas Google Adsense is an income for the user as Google pay some amount to the user to show the ad on his personal site....
in simple words,,, google adwords is a expense for user whereas google adsense is an income for user.

AdSense - Where you can make money from your website traffic. Place Google Adsense Ad Units on your web page and earn money when you get clicks on the Google Ad units.
Adwords- Its an advertising platform where you can get traffic to your website for your desired keywords for paying money to Google Adwords.
