HOW TO TAKE SITE BACKUP

HOW TO TAKE DATABASE BACKUP

STEP 1 : If you are using cPanel, login to cPanel first.

STEP 2 : Scroll down and first take database backup. Click " PHPMYADMIN " it will open in a new tab.





STEP 3 : When PHPMYADMIN opened. Click on left hand side Database name. It will looks like this.



STEP 4 :  Click " Export " and then check " Custom - display all possible options " radio button to take the backup.
Select compression method from drop down to get the backup in that format. Same backup you can use to re-upload backup when required.





STEP 5 : Check " structure and data " so that whole database ( including structure and data ) can get backup. 



STEP 6 : Click " Go " to take backup.   



STEP 7 : Once " Go " button clicked, save the database to your folder for future.




HOW TO TAKE FILES BACKUP

STEP 8 :  Files are not usually getting changed everyday , unless you have Static Website where something is getting update everyday. Or a File Managed Website where with every change there will be a backup file. Anyways.

STEP 9 : Click to Open File Manager from cPanel dashboard. It will get open in a new window.



STEP 10 : Click public_html folder to open it.



STEP 11 : First click " Select All " then all files will get selected inside public_html folder. Then click " Compress " it will take all files and get it zipped.







STEP 12 : Save compressed files to your folder. And That's it . your backup is ready. Now when you want to restore, use these backups.
