I am new in the web design industry, but I have not quite found an answer to this question.

Is it best to run multiple style sheets, each one with a part of the web design, or just one main style sheet for everything?

What is the impact on the website? Is it a difference in any way, pros/cons?

It might impact loading time(a little).

If u are having good brain then try to code like this

.someclass {background-color:#056123;color:#fff;text-decoration:none;float:right;}

instead of this

.someclass {
background-color:#056123;
color:#fff;
text-decoration:none;
float:right;
}

it reduces unnecessary spaces and reduce size of css. Also instead of using so many css for not getting confuse u can use MARKERS in same css file to distinguish your codes for understanding.

Yeah it's a nice and clean way to code in the first variant above. I was having doubts about the multiple style sheet use, had found some info that was claiming the best way to go with is with 2-3 style sheets ...
