VPN means Virtual Private Network. Many times we are facing " This service is blocked in your country " .. due to any reason. For eg: Youtube was banned in pakistan and citizens there was not able to visit it. So VPN can do this work for u.

TUTORIAL TO MAKE PERSONAL CHEAP VPN

STEP 1 : First u have to buy a 64-256 MB Ram VPS ( Higher will work more better ) , usually 64-256 MB Ram vps are from $7-$10 / Year on 1Gbit port connectivity. If u go and check VPN providers they are charging approx $30-40 / year for same VPN.



Step 2 : After taking VPS install Centos 6 32Bit on it from VPS control panel, i am here using 128 MB Ram VPS with Centos 6 32Bit.

Step 3 : Open your putty software and Login to SSH with it.



Step 4 : Open site : https://openvpn.net/index.php/access-server/download-openvpn-as-sw/113.html?osfamily=CentOS it will show u all the packages for Centos. We will Copy the link of Package RPM " http://swupdate.openvpn.org/as/openvpn-as-2.0.10-CentOS6.i386.rpm " and will use it to download on our VPS.

Command : # wget http://swupdate.openvpn.org/as/openvpn-as-2.0.10-CentOS6.i386.rpm



Step 5 : After download , Run command

Command : # rpm -i openvpn-as-2.0.10-CentOS6.i386.rpm



Step 6 : After successful installation, Run command to set your vpn password

Command : # passwd openvpn



Step 7 : Open your VPN panel now on Browser : it will become like this https://your_ip_address:943 ( this is https so it will need authorization from browser to open )



Step 8 : After login it will give u Link to download , this setup if from your own VPS with Configuration to connect.



Step 9 : Install the downloaded Setup.



Step 10 : After installation one icon will appear near Clock. And one on Desktop. Right click on Clock Icon and Exit it.



Step 11 : Right Click on Desktop Icon and Run As Administration.



Step 12 : One icon will appear near clock. Right click it and Connect to IP address.



Step 13 : It will ask login / Password , Provide login as " openvpn " and passwd whatever u set that time.



Step 14: It will ask permission to connect , Click yes.



After Successful Connection it will appear like this

Right Buddy, But never give another user on any VPS less then 1GB RAM or both will face lagging. This is for personal use and u will face less trouble if use alone.

This OpenVPN is allowing only 2 account per installation in free. I have no idea of Pro accounts. This TUTORIAL is for personal use not for public. 128 MB i was having that time so i made tutorial on that it was enough if someone is surfing 2-3 sites at a time, but 512 MB is good for single person.

As per my calculation 4-5 Persons can get handled by 2 GB RAM but bandwidth should not be less then 1 GBPS
