I would suggest that you dont use blogspot as it limits our creativity after some time.
You can try making sites at weebly.com or freewebs.com
And they to give more importance to quality than quantity.

and about how to get people to read it, there are many ways you can always use your signature in forums and emails to display the link.
the best way to get people is posting quality content and not just copying stuff from other places.
